The 2025 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards are now accepting nominations. Those interested have until 27 January 2025 to submit entries. This event, which is in its 18th year, is designed to honour the significant contributions of women within the transport and logistics sector. It serves to highlight the extensive opportunities available for women in this traditionally male-dominated industry.
The awards are open to both organisations and individuals, allowing for self-nominations or nominations by others. Participants can enter a maximum of two categories. The ceremony will feature awards such as Industry Champion, Woman of the Year and many more, recognising achievements at various career levels.
Everywoman aims to address issues such as the industry’s challenges in attracting and retaining female talent. The Women in Transport’s 2023 Equity Index Report reveals that 58% of organisations within the sector experience a gender pay gap of 11%, and 54% have no established goals for diversity.
Karen Gill MBE, co-founder of Everywoman, underscores the impact of the transport and logistics industry, noting its £214 billion contribution to the UK economy in 2020. Gill states, “With the industry’s main priorities focusing on technology deployment, such as AI, and Net Zero targets, it is fundamental that diverse work, ideas, and problem solving are present to reach these necessary goals.” She further comments on the essential nature of attracting, retaining, and advancing women to fuel innovation and economic growth.
Nominations for the awards cover a wide range of categories, including Above and Beyond, Leader, Tech Innovator, International Inspiration, Male Agent of Change, Apprentice of the Year and Sustainability Champion. Notably, the Above and Beyond Award is for those women who have exceeded their role in driving organisational success, while the Leader Award is for senior-level women contributing significantly to business strategy.
The awards ceremony is slated for 26 June 2025, with the venue yet to be announced. Additionally, details regarding the 2025 judging panel will be disclosed soon.
The 2025 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards continue to emphasise the crucial role women play in advancing industry innovation and diversity.
