Founded two decades ago, Innis & Gunn has positioned itself as a staple in Scotland’s beer industry. Dougal Gunn Sharp, founder and master brewer, expressed that having a Scottish beer available at such significant cultural events is a great privilege. According to Sharp, “It’s a huge honour for us to again be named Official Beer Partner,” suggesting a deep sense of pride in being intertwined with Edinburgh’s festive traditions.
This holiday season, Innis & Gunn will introduce its ‘Winter Warmer’, a new festive drink made by infusing their original beer with Monkey Shoulder whisky, assorted spices, and orange zest. This offering represents a Scottish twist on traditional mulled drinks, aiming to provide a warm and inviting experience for event attendees. Gunn Sharp noted the drink combines the finest aspects of Scotland’s beer and whisky heritage, promising a unique and pleasurable tasting experience that aligns with the festive spirit.
The Edinburgh Christmas event will run from 15 November 2024 until 4 January 2025, featuring attractions such as Scotland’s tallest Ferris wheel and a funfair in Princes Street Gardens. Hogmanay, a separate four-day event, includes concerts, a street party with live performances, and various family-friendly activities, all of which are set to feature Innis & Gunn’s offerings. These events are expected to draw a significant number of tourists and locals alike, reinforcing Edinburgh’s position as a prime festive destination.
