These new leaders bring a wealth of experience, each poised to contribute significantly to McLaren’s regional objectives.
Luke Arnold, taking on the role of operations director, comes from ISG, bringing with him 14 years of industry experience. His primary focus will be on working alongside managing director Gary Cramp to explore new sectors within public sector frameworks. Having also spent 11 years at Laing O’Rourke, Arnold’s background positions him as a pivotal player in driving the company’s expansion plans in this key geographical area.
Darren Harding steps into the role of divisional director, equipped with the task of overseeing purpose-built student accommodation schemes in the Midlands and North. “The future is looking very positive for the business with a full pipeline of new opportunities,” Harding reflected, highlighting his positive outlook on the division’s direction. His experience and forward-thinking approach will be critical in capitalising on the growing demand for specialised student housing projects.
Adam Craven, joining as regional commercial director, previously served in a similar role at Kier. Craven highlights McLaren’s unique approach to empowerment as a key factor in his decision to join the team. “Whilst the business has already demonstrated its success and resilience over many years, what really appealed to me and differentiates McLaren Construction Midlands & North was the empowerment given to me to influence and make a meaningful difference to an already successful business, as we seek those marginal improvements which will make all the difference.” His background will be essential in fine-tuning regional commercial strategies to extract maximum value and efficiency.
Gary Cramp, the managing director of McLaren Construction Midlands & North, expressed his confidence in the new team. He anticipates their combined expertise will be instrumental in advancing the division’s growth agenda. Cramp stated, “We are pleased to welcome Luke, Darren and Adam into their respective roles and are confident that their expertise and capabilities will drive the positive change we are spearheading, as part of the division’s growth strategy.” This reinforces the company’s focus on strategic leadership to achieve its ambitious growth targets.
