This redevelopment revolves around the transformation of 1 Lancaster Circus, previously the headquarters of West Midlands County Council, into high-rise living spaces.
The proposal outlines the construction of two residential towers, one reaching 41 storeys, while the other stands at 48 storeys. These structures are strategically positioned on the edge of Lancaster Circus Queensway and Lawson Street. The design aims to serve as a symbolic gateway connecting the Gun Quarter and Jewellery Quarter to the heart of Birmingham city centre.
The development site’s proximity to Aston University and the ongoing construction of the Crown Place student accommodation tower underscores its pivotal location.
