The unification of Henry Riley and TSA Management into TSA Riley marks a notable advancement in the construction consultancy industry. This merger, occurring a year after TSA Management’s acquisition of Henry Riley LLP, is a strategic alignment that signifies the creation of a cohesive global entity. The shift underlines a proactive approach to embracing a broader international presence within the project consultancy niche.
TSA Management’s acquisition of Henry Riley LLP in May 2023 marked its initial foray into the European market. Supported by Quadrant Private Equity, TSA had already established a robust footprint with six acquisitions across Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia over the preceding five years. The decision to rebrand as TSA Riley signals an enhancement of their market identity, integrating both firms’ strengths.
David Needham, formerly the chief executive of Henry Riley, has now assumed the role of Managing Director for TSA Riley UK & Ireland. Needham emphasises the importance of maintaining a strong brand identity through collaboration. “We’ll continue to serve our clients with the same dedication and excellence, but this is now amplified by a broader global perspective, deeper industry insights, and a holistic, end-to-end project-consulting approach,” he stated. His leadership is pivotal in navigating the integration process, ensuring seamless service delivery.
The rebranding process involved extensive feedback from team members, clients, and brand experts, centring around the concept of ‘connected intelligence.’ This philosophy underscores the capability to offer comprehensive project consultancy services across every stage of the project lifecycle. With over 1,000 specialists worldwide, TSA Riley positions itself as a leader in independent consultancy, ensuring no aspect of the project lifecycle is overlooked.
Group Chief Executive Andrew Thompson affirms that ‘TSA Riley’ embodies the company’s remarkable growth trajectory over the past years. “Our new brand is an embodiment of our exceptional growth across Australia, the UK and Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia, that has made this business what it is today,” Thompson remarks. The integration of Henry Riley harnesses a considerable 130-year history, reinforcing their standing within the UK and Irish markets and establishing a firm foundation for global operations.
Scheduled for later this year, DGA, a contract and dispute resolution firm acquired by TSA in June 2023, will also transition to the TSA Riley brand. This move reinforces the unified brand’s commitment to offering expansive expertise and consistent quality in consultancy services, further strengthening its global outreach.
The merger of Henry Riley and TSA Management into TSA Riley exemplifies a forward-thinking strategy in global project consultancy.
