Kammac, a third-party logistics provider, has gained two significant certifications: AEO and FHDDS. This move represents a strategic approach to fortifying supply chain services.
- The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification is recognised globally, facilitating better trade efficiency and security.
- Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme (FHDDS) certification highlights Kammac’s adherence to stringent UK regulations, reinforcing legal compliance.
- These certifications enable Kammac to offer expedited customs processes and broaden its market reach for non-EU sellers.
- Kammac’s certifications are pivotal in maintaining high service standards amidst the post-Brexit trading environment.
Kammac, a leading third-party logistics provider, has achieved two pivotal certifications that underscore its commitment to enhancing supply chain efficiency and compliance. The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification is a noteworthy milestone, endorsed by the World Customs Organisation (WCO), and plays a vital role in improving international supply chain security while streamlining trade operations across borders. This certification is globally recognised in over 70 countries, allowing companies like Kammac to reduce customs restrictions and enhance cross-border trade operations effectively.
With AEO certification, Kammac gains prioritised customs procedures, which translate to faster and more efficient import and export processes. This includes streamlined customs filings, inspections, and clearances, providing Kammac with a significant edge in logistics services. Leanne Lidell, the compliance director at Kammac, highlighted the importance of this certification: ‘Achieving AEO status following HM Revenue and Custom’s rigorous six-month approval process marks a significant milestone for us. The certification ensures simplified customs clearances and priority handling, meaning we can offer our customers more streamlined and reliable logistics services.’
The AEO certification commenced at Kammac’s Wavertree site to meet the needs of a key global beverage client and has since been expanded to include all of Kammac’s 15 sites. This expansion places Kammac in an advantageous position, alongside its sister companies within the Elanders Group, facilitating seamless global collaborations.
Alongside the AEO designation, Kammac has also secured certification under the Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme (FHDDS). This demonstrates Kammac’s commitment to adhering to stringent UK regulations, thus enhancing its ability to legally store goods for non-EU sellers. Such measures significantly expand Kammac’s market reach, further solidifying its role within global supply chains. Ged Carabini, Kammac’s chief executive, stated: ‘Achieving both AEO status and the FHDDS scheme gives our clients the confidence that Kammac delivers the highest quality service. These certifications not only show our commitment to compliance but also signify our ongoing investment in supporting global supply chains for our clients, further strengthening Kammac’s role within the Elanders Group.’
Kammac’s dual certifications exemplify its strategic commitment to improving service efficiency and regulatory compliance in the logistics sector.
