- Representatives from both Evri and Onsi express enthusiasm over the positive impact of the collaboration.
In a forward-thinking move, Evri has partnered with Onsi, a flexible benefits platform, to expand the benefits for their over 25,000 self-employed couriers. This initiative comes as Evri prepares for the busy recruitment period ahead of the peak delivery season, seeking to attract and retain talent.
The comprehensive benefits package introduced through this partnership is available to both new and existing couriers from the moment they join Evri, offering these enhancements at no cost to the couriers. This is in addition to the existing benefits scheme provided by the company.
Couriers will benefit significantly from two major categories offered by the new package: ‘Wellbeing’ and ‘Discounts’. The ‘Wellbeing’ package comprises access to services such as Digital GP, Digital Physio, and mental health, financial, and family support. Concurrently, the ‘Discounts’ benefit allows couriers to save on everyday expenses, including fuel and groceries from nine major supermarket brands.
According to Evri, the most popular discounts to date have been those related to fuel and supermarkets, including Tesco, Shell, Aldi, Asda, and Sainsbury’s. This demonstrates a tangible benefit that impacts the daily lives of the couriers, thereby improving job satisfaction and financial stability.
Gary Robinson, Evri’s final mile director, highlighted the centrality of couriers to the business’s success, noting that platforms like Onsi, which offer additional benefits, significantly influence couriers’ work and home lives. He stated, ‘As our business continues to grow, it’s an exciting time to join us and become a courier, working flexibly around other commitments.’
Onsi’s spokesperson echoed this sentiment, emphasising their vision of a work environment where everyone benefits. They expressed pleasure in providing Evri couriers with physical and financial wellbeing protections, stating, ‘We are delighted to welcome Evri to Onsi and looking forward to our partnership.’
In conclusion, the partnership between Evri and Onsi marks a significant step in enhancing the wellbeing and satisfaction of courier staff, aligning with the company’s growth ambitions.
