Lancashire-based Aerial Platforms Ltd is undertaking a strategic renewal of its equipment fleet, sending surplus machinery to auction. This initiative forms part of their broader business strategy to update and enhance their operational capabilities. The auction, managed by Euro Auctions, will take place in their Leeds sales arena from 31st July to 3rd August 2024.
The auction will feature a total of 58 lifting machines, comprising 31 boom lifts from manufacturers such as JLG, Manitou, Niftylift, and Skyjack. Additionally, 18 scissor lifts from Genie and JLG, alongside a JCB rough terrain forklift, will be available to potential buyers. Notably, many of these machines are relatively recent, having been manufactured within the last four to five years.
These machines have been described as possessing high specifications, including features such as secondary guarding, onboard generators, and non-marking rough terrain tyres on some models. This level of specification is anticipated to draw significant interest not only from UK-based entities but also from international clientele. APL’s high standards of maintenance and equipment condition further augment the appeal of this auction.
Scott McCall, Euro Auctions’ lifting & access manager, emphasised the attractiveness of the consignment. He remarked, “APL have a reputation for keeping equipment in excellent condition and working order, hence this consignment will be of high interest to the market.” Such endorsements highlight the potential global appeal and competitive edge of the equipment being auctioned.
Through the auction of surplus machinery, Aerial Platforms Ltd effectively optimises its equipment fleet while maintaining high industry standards.
