Cruise Croatia is poised to make waves in the luxury small-ship cruise sector with the introduction of its new-build, the MV Aretis, expected to join its fleet in early 2025. This 36-guest vessel is notable as the first of its kind to be constructed in Croatia in the last three years, symbolising a significant milestone for the company. It is scheduled to offer 19 seven-night voyages traversing the picturesque landscapes between Dubrovnik and Split from 7 June to 11 October. For the following year, the cruise line anticipates extending the MV Aretis’s operational period to encompass the full summer season, consisting of 24 departures.
The partnership between Cruise Croatia and the Radež shipyard in Korcula underpins the construction of this novel ship, with a strategic 20 per cent investment guaranteeing exclusive utilisation of MV Aretis until 2027. The ship is designed to offer unparalleled comfort and luxury, featuring 18 en-suite cabins, each measuring up to 160 square feet. Additional amenities include a restaurant, a bar area on the upper deck, and an outdoor lounge complete with sofas, sun loungers, and a jacuzzi, all crafted to enhance the passenger experience.
Along the journey, MV Aretis promises ample leisure opportunities with swim stops and an array of water activities. These include stand-up paddle boards, a sea kayak, and snorkelling equipment among others, catering to a variety of interests and ensuring that each cruise is both active and relaxing. Moreover, passengers are afforded complimentary access to Wi-Fi, as well as complimentary tea, coffee, and filtered water, reinforcing the emphasis on guest convenience and satisfaction.
Graham Carter, Cruise Croatia’s chief commercial officer, expressed pride in the launch of MV Aretis, highlighting the growing demand for luxurious small-ship cruises which allow patrons to explore otherwise inaccessible destinations. In his words, “MV Aretis will be one of the most stylish and elegant ships ever built in Croatia, offering a luxurious and intimate cruise experience.”
Additionally, in a move to attract more solo travellers, Cruise Croatia has expanded its offerings by introducing single occupancy cabins without an additional charge, available on every departure throughout 2024. This initiative marks a first for the company, and includes unique onboard and ashore experiences specially curated for individual passengers.
MV Aretis represents a new chapter for Cruise Croatia, reflecting its commitment to luxury, exclusivity, and innovative travel experiences.
