South West Water has launched an ambitious initiative named the Amplify Alliance. This strategic move is geared towards delivering the company’s £2.8bn AMP8 investment programme, which spans from April 2025 to March 2030. The alliance, comprising leading engineering firms, plays a pivotal role in transforming water infrastructure across Devon and Cornwall. The Amplify Alliance is stationed at a newly established office adjacent to South West Water’s Exeter headquarters. This central location underlines the alliance’s importance and facilitates collaboration among the engineering firms involved. The partnership includes prominent entities such as Bam Nuttall, Clancy, Mott McDonald Bentley, Tilbury Douglas, MWH Treatment, and Network Plus Envolve. These firms bring extensive expertise in infrastructure development, which is essential for the scale of investment envisioned by the AMP8 programme.
Integral to the alliance’s function is the support from consultancy giants like Stantec, Long O Donnell, and Turner & Townsend, who are set to provide critical project management services.
