Crystal has taken a decisive step to bolster its presence in the UK and EMEA markets by appointing two new regional sales managers. Danny Giles, with a rich background from Ponant, Silversea Cruises, and Hurtigruten, is set to join Crystal’s UK team as regional sales manager for the north. Giles is tasked with revitalising and strengthening connections with agents across Scotland, the North of England, and Ireland. Reporting to Stephen Joyner, Crystal’s senior sales manager for the UK and Ireland, Giles will commence his role on November 6.
Stefan Nicodemus, with over three decades of experience in the travel sector, including a significant tenure at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, will assume the role of regional sales manager for Northern Europe. Nicodemus’ responsibilities will include enhancing trade sales performance and broadening Crystal’s market footprint in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and Scandinavia. He will report to Michael Steffl, Crystal’s EMEA director of trade sales, and is expected to start on November 1.
These strategic appointments are part of Crystal’s ongoing commitment to expand its sales reach, following the addition of three sales managers in the previous month. Matias Lira, Crystal’s senior vice-president of trade sales for Latam, UK, and EMEA, expressed his confidence in the new appointees, citing their expertise, approach, and enthusiasm as invaluable assets for further market penetration.
Crystal’s recent appointments are pivotal for reinforcing its sales strategy and strengthening agent relationships in crucial regions.
