Intrepid Travel, known for its commitment to responsible travel, is expanding its reach within the UK market through strategic staffing initiatives. Recently, Lucy Wildman has been appointed as the senior partnerships manager for the southern region. Her prior engagement with Trailfinders and Discova, where she held significant roles in sales and product management, positions her as a valuable addition to Intrepid’s team.
Wildman will take charge of managing relationships with key partners and agents across the south, a move expected to enhance Intrepid’s engagement and partnerships effectively. She expressed her excitement, stating, ‘I’m thrilled to be joining Intrepid, it’s a great company and one I have always admired and respected.’
In addition to Wildman’s recruitment, there have been considerable promotions within Intrepid’s teams to fortify its foundations and ambitions for growth. Natalia Marin Reyes has ascended to the role of senior partnerships manager, where she will supervise both affiliate and co-branded partnerships, ensuring cohesive strategic alignment. Furthermore, Joanna Reeve, whose responsibilities now extend to include Europe alongside the UK, will continue as head of business development and partnerships.
An expansion in the sales team with promotions such as Samantha Briggs advancing to head of sales, alongside Leah Burton, Emily Boscoe, and Andrew Everett as sales managers, reinforces Intrepid’s commitment to providing robust support to its partners. These staffing changes align with the company’s strategic plans to offer greater support and demonstrate the essence of being an Intrepid traveller.
Intrepid is also introducing a suite of new incentives for agents, which includes 50% off select trips, a 25% discount on the 2024-25 Antarctic season voyages, and various Urban Adventures discounts. Furthermore, UK-based mini-experiences and familiarisation trips are slated for announcement soon, enhancing the practical and experiential learning of agents and partners.
Intrepid Travel’s strategic appointments and promotional endeavours signify its commitment to growth and collaboration within the travel industry.
