P&O Cruises has announced an expansion of its regional sales team, an initiative focused on strengthening partnerships with travel agents throughout England. This move is seen as a critical step in advancing the company’s trade relationships, especially as it looks to enhance the support provided to travel agents across the north, west, and east regions of the country.
Five strategic appointments have been made to address this objective, underscoring the company’s commitment to being at the forefront of the cruise industry in the UK. Lynsey Roberts takes on the pivotal role of business manager for partnership development, drawing on her extensive experience previously as a commercial manager at Marella & TUI River Cruises.
Under the leadership of Lynsey Roberts, Suzanne Arnold will manage the north of England, while Laura Gray is set to oversee operations in the west. Both bring a wealth of industry knowledge to their roles as partnership development managers, and they will work closely with travel agents to build robust and mutually beneficial relationships.
The east of England will see Cara Hayward taking charge, transitioning from her current national partnership development manager role, enabling a more focused approach in the region. This restructuring aims to enhance the partnership models and bring more customised support to travel agents in these areas.
Additionally, Kane Keating has been appointed as the regional training and engagement manager. Keating’s responsibilities will include the development and implementation of face-to-face and regional training programmes that align with the national and online training strategy, aiming to elevate the expertise of travel agents and enhance their engagement with P&O Cruises.
Ruth Venn, P&O Cruises director of sales, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting the importance of these new roles in growing existing partnerships and engaging with new travel agents not yet selling cruise holidays. Venn stated, “The expanded regional team demonstrates our commitment to the trade and means we can offer more support and increase face-to-face training opportunities.”
This strategic expansion demonstrates P&O Cruises’ dedication to strengthening trade relationships and enhancing support for travel agents across England.
