In an impressive display of sales acumen, a Hays Travel agent has emerged victorious in a prize draw orchestrated by easyJet holidays. Melissa Ward, hailing from the Omagh branch of Hays Travel, drove away with a brand new Fiat 500. Joining the virtual event from the comfort of her home, Ward expressed her disbelief and joy upon learning of her win, describing the moment as an ‘amazing prize and a great win’ for her branch.
The competition was open to the top 100 agents who had secured their place by achieving the highest number of bookings with the operator during the specified period between January 9 and February 29. This selection criterion not only inspired healthy competition but also served to recognise and reward the efforts of the leading sales agents.
In addition to the grand prize, five other remarkable agents were also celebrated for their outstanding performances, each receiving a £200 cash prize. The winners included Craig Harris from the Cwmbran branch, Caoimhe Brinkley from the Londonderry Foyleside branch, Amy Logan, an apprentice at the Newtownabbey branch, Heather Murphy from the Liverpool Old Swan branch, and Kimberley Fazackerley from the Rochdale branch. This diverse group of winners underscores the widespread talent and dedication present within the Hays Travel network.
Jane Schumm, the retail director of Hays Travel, highlighted the valuable partnership with easyJet holidays, which has been ongoing since 2020. She noted that the opportunity for staff to win such substantial prizes as a car was a fitting tribute to their hard work, particularly during the demanding winter peak months. This synergy between the two entities exemplifies a successful business relationship built on mutual respect and shared goals.
The prize draw not only rewarded excellence but also strengthened industry partnerships, setting a standard for future collaborations.
