Ambassador Cruise Line has introduced an innovative app designed to enhance user engagement through a remarkable augmented reality experience of its flagship vessel, the Ambience. Available on both iOS and Android platforms, the ‘Let’s Cruise’ app provides a comprehensive digital tour, allowing users to explore the ship from the comfort of their own homes.
The app has been crafted in collaboration with 3rockAR, a leader in augmented reality technology, and is compatible with most smartphones and tablets. As potential explorers delve into the app, they are guided on how to navigate the Ambience, with features to win prizes, share experiences with friends, and facilitate booking a cruise.
Of particular note is a treasure hunt-style game integrated into the app. This captivating feature involves the search for ‘Golden Tickets’ strategically hidden throughout the ship’s digital representation. Enthusiasts obtaining all 12 tickets can submit their findings to qualify for a chance to win one of three £25 on-board credit vouchers monthly.
Ambassador Cruise Line’s Chief Marketing Officer, Gordon Nardini, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, highlighting the opportunity for enhanced guest interaction using augmented reality. “We are delighted to launch our first augmented reality app, which offers guests a fantastic opportunity to explore Ambience,” he stated, emphasising the app’s capacity to deepen connections and interactions.
