Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has introduced an ambitious series of voyages for 2024/25, designed to coincide with some of the world’s most stunning natural events and cultural festivities. This programme includes a much-anticipated 11-night Mystery Cruise, a first since 2019, embarking from Southampton in November 2024, where guests can relish the thrill of guessing the next ports of call, reminiscent of the journeys of historical explorers and navigators.
The cruise line has expanded its departure locations across the UK, offering a wider choice for travellers by including ports such as Liverpool, Newcastle, Rosyth, Dover, Southampton, and Portsmouth. These expanded options open new avenues for guests to embark on their adventures with greater convenience.
Within the itineraries, passengers are presented with unique opportunities to witness natural phenomena and significant cultural celebrations. Voyages are specifically timed for events such as meteor showers and the world’s second-largest carnival, or to observe wildlife like wild polar bears. Emphasising nature’s spectacles, Fred Olsen offers journeys that align with bird migration patterns and the phenomenal Northern Lights.
To mark the launch of this programme, Fred Olsen is presenting attractive financial incentives. Travellers can benefit from up to £150 per person in onboard spending on sailings ranging from five to 12 nights. Moreover, there is a choice between £250 per person in onboard spending or complimentary door-to-door transfers within 250 mainland miles of the port.
Fred Olsen is also catering to solo travellers by offering a series of enticing deals. Passengers can benefit from reduced single supplements, making solo travel more accessible and affordable. Martin Lister, head of itinerary planning and destination experience, expressed excitement about the programme, noting the imaginative planning inspired by both natural and organised events. “This has been a particularly exciting programme to curate,” Lister remarked, highlighting the opportunities to witness the Perseid Meteor Shower, Northern Lights, and explore the Norwegian fjords at their most majestic.
Fred Olsen’s 2024/25 programme promises unforgettable experiences by aligning cruises with extraordinary natural events and targeted traveller incentives.
