- These initiatives aim to unify processes across the company’s international markets.
Globus is gearing up to introduce a new, enhanced trade sales platform that forms part of its commitment to refreshing its current tools across its family of brands, including Cosmos Tours and Avalon Waterways. This new initiative will replace the current Travel Agent Portal (TAP) with a significantly upgraded version. Sales director Phil Shipman confirmed that the launch would occur later this year, starting in North America before extending to the UK.
The introduction of the new system is part of a broader endeavour to embed these enhancements into the operational culture of agencies, particularly in the UK. Shipman noted, “We are looking forward to the launch of the system later in the year. Although it is launching in the US first, we will make sure it is embedded into the culture of the agencies we have here in the UK.”
Additionally, the company is working on advancing its training platform, Globus Family of Brands University (GFOBU), by incorporating additional instructional modules. This enhancement will align with the firm’s rewards programme, allowing agents to gain discounts by completing courses. “GFOBU is being enhanced and refreshed to fit with the globalisation of our product,” Shipman explained.
Such efforts illustrate Globus’s continuous adaptation to a globalised market, striving towards uniform systems and processes. Over the past five years, Globus has been gradually globalising its operations, integrating various international markets into a single framework. The impending changes to both the trade and training platforms will further support this strategy, ensuring consistency in the company’s operations worldwide.
Globus’s comprehensive updates signify a strategic move to streamline and unify its global operations.
