A Durham-based logistics company, Logistics North East, has become the latest member of the Pallet-Track network for 2024 as part of its expansion strategy.

In a strategic move to bolster its business, Logistics North East, a family-owned Durham-based logistics firm, has become the fifth new member of the Pallet-Track network in 2024. This decision is part of the company’s broader growth strategy to expand its nationwide coverage and enhance its service offerings.
Situated in Chester-Le-Street, Logistics North East has invested a substantial £700,000 into acquiring new trailers, tractor units, rigid trucks, and vans. This investment is anticipated to support the firm’s projected growth within the Pallet-Track network, reflecting its ambitious expansion plans.
The company is tasked with covering the NE31 to NE36 and SR1 to SR6 postcodes, efficiently managing an average of 1,000 pallets per day. Logistics North East employs a dedicated team of 80 individuals and, besides its recent alliance with Pallet-Track, it is also part of the Hazchem Network and APC parcel network.
Lisa Johnson, the office general manager at Logistics North East, has emphasised the firm’s commitment to providing a comprehensive portfolio of logistics services. She highlighted that their collaboration with Pallet-Track presents opportunities to deliver service excellence, thanks to advanced IT offerings, including comprehensive traceability on all pallet movements.
Stuart Godman, the chief executive of Pallet-Track, noted that this partnership is mutually beneficial. He stated, ‘The addition of Logistics North East to the Pallet-Track network will further enhance our coverage and growth in the region, while improving efficiency for our customers.’
