Domes Resorts has welcomed more than 200 trade partners in a series of familiarisation (fam) trips across Greece and Portugal, aiming to reinforce relationships with UK travel professionals. These trips covered notable destinations such as Santorini, the Algarve, Corfu, and Mykonos, offering participants a chance to experience the luxury properties first-hand.
Senior sales, marketing, and development manager at Domes Resorts, Penny Naoum, emphasised the significance of these events, stating, “We cherish our relationships with UK travel agents and tour operators and are dedicated to providing them with first-hand experiences of our exceptional properties.” This initiative underscores the group’s commitment to the UK trade market, with feedback described as “overwhelmingly positive.”
Such visits have reportedly boosted levels of trust and cooperation, with agents enhancing their product knowledge and promotional capabilities. The trips were attended not only by agents but also included tour operator representatives and members of the trade media, broadening the scope of engagement.
Highlighting the scale of these activities, over 45 travel professionals attended the soft opening of Domes Novos Santorini, which marked an important milestone in the resort’s outreach efforts. Subsequent visits saw 70 agents and operators at Domes Lake Algarve, and 32 at the newly renovated Domes Noruz Kassandra. A series of smaller groups explored other prominent properties, including Domes Aulus Elounda and Domes of Elounda, thereby diversifying the exposure.
The inclusion of multiple sites and the attention to detailed planning reflects a broader strategy to elevate the brand’s presence and foster deeper connections with key stakeholders in the UK travel sector.
These fam trips clearly demonstrate Domes Resorts’ strategic commitment to strengthening its ties with the UK travel market.
