BG Freight Line has launched four environmentally-conscious ships to bolster its shipping capacity and eco-efficiency.

BG Freight Line, a key player in logistics under the Peel Ports Group, has introduced four cutting-edge vessels dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of maritime shipping. This launch represents a significant milestone, not just for the company but for the shipping industry at large, as it actively seeks to curtail carbon footprints across the board.
The newly launched ships—BG Green, BG Blue, BG Red, and BG Orange—are each 170 metres long and capable of carrying up to 1,380 containers. This marks an increase of 300 containers over previous models in BG Freight Line’s fleet. Such capacity enhancements not only improve efficiency but also offer a reduced carbon footprint per container, thereby supporting the sustainability goals.
One of the standout features of these vessels is their incorporation of technology to capture CO2 and sulphur particles, significantly mitigating harmful emissions traditionally associated with sea transport.
