Cunard has unveiled an ambitious schedule for its 2024 familiarisation trips, aimed at travel agents, which promises an enriching glimpse into the unique Cunard experience. These trips are meticulously arranged to allow agents to thoroughly understand and appreciate the luxurious elements that define Cunard cruises. With four planned departures, travel agents will embark on roundtrip voyages from Southampton, beginning in August and concluding in November.
Each trip will host 20 select trade partners, totalling 80 agents across the programme. This initiative is part of Cunard’s broader strategy to engage with key stakeholders by offering them first-hand experiences of their services. During these four-night cruises, agents will be accommodated in either Balcony staterooms or the more upscale Princess Grill Suites, ensuring a comfortable and premium experience that reflects the high standards expected from Cunard.
In addition to experiencing the comfort of Cunard’s accommodations, participants will engage in drink receptions, immersive training sessions, and a speciality dining experience, all of which are designed to deepen their understanding of the brand. Agents will also partake in curated shore excursions, with all additional costs, including Wi-Fi and service charges, covered under this programme.
The inaugural sailing will occur on 28 August aboard Queen Anne, venturing to Rotterdam. This will be followed by a voyage on Queen Mary 2 to Zeebrugge on 11 September. The itinerary continues with another Queen Mary 2 journey to Hamburg on 13 October, leading to the final trip of the year on Queen Victoria, departing for Amsterdam on 15 November.
Moreover, Cunard will facilitate nine ship visits, which further extends their outreach by allowing 400 agents to participate in Queen Anne’s operational test slated for April. This comprehensive approach is set to peak during the CLIA Conference in May, where another 185 agents are expected to experience the newest ship firsthand.
Cunard’s 2024 programme exemplifies a strategic commitment to enhancing agent partnerships by offering a thorough understanding of their esteemed cruise services.
