ABE Ledbury, a transport and logistics company, has strategically expanded its service offerings by becoming a member of The Hazchem Network. This development allows ABE Ledbury to take over the coverage of HR, LD, SY7-8, and GL14-19 postcodes, formerly managed by two other members. This move positions the company to handle a diverse range of consignments, including hazardous goods such as paints and flammable gas cylinders.
To support this new line of service, twelve drivers from ABE Ledbury are currently undergoing training to achieve ADR accreditation, essential for transporting dangerous goods. Clive Brooks, the Managing Director of ABE Ledbury, emphasised the potential this new service has in attracting business from companies involved in supplying farmers with fertilisers and flammable products, highlighting the area’s rural nature.
Clive Brooks stated, “This new service will potentially be of benefit to new customers as well as our existing customers. Most companies prefer their consignments to be transported by as few carriers as possible. So, by joining The Hazchem Network we are creating new opportunities with customers we may previously have not been able to support.” This initiative not only diversifies their service offerings but also optimises logistics by consolidating consignments.
Rob Symes, Managing Director of The Hazchem Network, praised ABE Ledbury for their commitment and readiness to join the network. He remarked on the firm’s reputation for excellent service and customer care, expressing confidence in their ability to be a valuable addition to the network.
This strategic integration into the Hazchem Network aligns with ABE Ledbury’s goal of enhancing their service capabilities and securing new business opportunities.
ABE Ledbury’s membership in The Hazchem Network marks a significant step in broadening its service scope and capturing new market potential.
