In a shocking road rage incident on 22 January 2022, an HGV driver was brutally attacked by Joshua Bojko, following a minor collision on the A608 Old Derby Road near Nottingham. The victim had stopped his vehicle after Bojko executed a three-point turn in an Audi, resulting in Bojko’s car rolling back into the lorry.
Upon exiting his lorry to check for damage, the driver was assaulted, receiving a severe blow to the face that left him with multiple fractures, including both sides of his jaw, nose, and eye socket. His injuries were significant, requiring surgical intervention, and were indicative of an unrestrained and violent outburst.
Law enforcement authorities successfully traced and apprehended Bojko following a detailed review of ANPR camera footage. Consequently, he was charged and ultimately pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. On 11 March, Bojko received a 12-month custodial sentence from Nottingham Crown Court.
