Held at the iconic BAFTA venue in Piccadilly, London, the event celebrated a ‘record-breaking’ year, a testament to the robust partnerships cultivated with travel agents.
The ceremony highlighted top-performing agents with accolades, including Jen Lonergan, the founder of The Luxury Traveller, who was celebrated as the Luxury Travel Designer of the Year. Other esteemed awards included Retail Agent of the Year, awarded to Travelwise, and High Street Agent of the Year, presented to More Travel.
Natasha Towey, Carrier’s Managing Director, articulated the essence of this year’s theme, ‘family’, stating that such relationships extend beyond mere business interactions. These bonds encapsulate the core of their operational philosophy, highlighting the personal and professional growth achieved through these collaborations.
Beyond the recognitions, Carrier unveiled an inspiring partnership with the Shinta Mani Foundation, a non-profit organisation in Cambodia. This alliance promises to drive significant communal changes by providing support to those living below the poverty line. The partnership echoed the event’s solidarity and commitment to social responsibility.
Attendees were encouraged to support the foundation through contributions, with a lucrative incentive—a six-night stay in Cambodia, valued at over $12,000, was offered in a draw for participating agents. The collective effort at the event saw an impressive sum of £1,430 raised, which Carrier vowed to match.
