The Spirit of the Moselle will mirror the success of its predecessors, Spirit of the Rhine and Spirit of the Danube, by offering a luxury cruise experience designed to meet the high standards expected by Saga’s clientele. This vessel is engineered to accommodate up to 182 guests, featuring 95 cabins, amongst which 73 boast a French Balcony, underscoring Saga’s commitment to providing spacious and luxurious surroundings.
The ship will include modern amenities such as floor-to-ceiling windows and a central lounge and bar area, underlining its role as a social hub for guests. Dining options offer a blend of buffet breakfasts along with waiter-served lunches and dinners, maintaining a high level of service quality.
As part of its planned itineraries, the Spirit of the Moselle will navigate prominent European rivers including the Main, with stops that highlight culturally rich cities such as Nuremberg and Frankfurt. The trip will also feature a journey through the scenic and historically significan Rhine Gorge, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, promising an unforgettable cruising experience.
The official construction of the Spirit of the Moselle commenced with the traditional keel laying ceremony in January 2024 at the Vahali shipyard located in Serbia. Nigel Blanks, CEO of Saga Cruises, expressed his enthusiasm for this development, looking forward to welcoming guests and continuing Saga’s tradition of exceptional service.
