The Specialist Travel Association, known as Aito, is taking proactive steps to bolster its support for members by launching enhanced training programmes and an HR hotline. This initiative underscores Aito’s commitment to improving resources and assistance available to its members, facilitating better business practices and addressing industry challenges.
The announcement came during Aito’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), coinciding with the introduction of two strategic appointments aimed at steering the association towards future growth. Christina Brazier, previously a business consultant with Travel Trade Consultancy, has assumed the newly created role of head of industry affairs. Meanwhile, Emma Taylor has joined as the head of membership, bringing her experience as the former commercial and partnership manager at Protected Trust Services. These appointments illustrate Aito’s strategic positioning amid its efforts to expand membership following the departure of its head of commercial, Bharat Gadhoke, at the end of the previous year.
Aito’s renewed focus includes a comprehensive review of existing policies and guidance documents to better serve its membership base. Enhancing training has emerged as a central theme of Aito’s strategy, with forthcoming courses designed to provide valuable skills in data analytics and the art of persuasion. These training programmes reflect a dynamic approach to professional development, ensuring members are well-equipped to adapt to evolving market needs.
Adding to the suite of support offerings, Aito has partnered with Travlaw, a reputable travel law firm, to introduce an HR hotline. Scheduled to launch in September, this service will allow Aito members to access professional HR advice, providing up to 30 minutes of consultation on various HR matters. This initiative represents a significant step in ensuring members have the necessary resources to navigate complex human resource challenges effectively.
Aito’s latest initiatives highlight its dedication to empowering members and fostering a robust support system within the travel industry.
