- Guest numbers have surged by over 20%, reflecting a steady rise in popularity.

- Future prospects look promising as the company plans to maintain this momentum into the next year.
Azamara has declared an unprecedented sales achievement in the UK, with guest volumes experiencing an increase exceeding 20% and revenue growing by over 30% year-on-year. This success marks a significant milestone for the company, underscoring the effectiveness of their strategic initiatives targeting the UK market.
The remarkable growth follows substantial investments by Azamara in expanding their sales infrastructure within the UK. The appointment of Moira Gregson and Adam Morris as business development managers is indicative of the company’s commitment to strengthening their market presence. Stuart Pearce, the Head of Trade Sales UK, emphasised the pivotal role played by the travel agent community in driving these results. According to Pearce, having the appropriate resources in place enables the team to provide enhanced support and continue broadening their network, which has led to an increasing number of partners opting to book with Azamara.
The sales team capitalised on their increased presence at numerous industry events throughout the year, engaging with over three and a half thousand agents through conferences alone. Furthermore, Azamara extended invitations to agents for onboard visits during a series of ship tours around the British Isles and hosted a ‘seminar at sea’ event, fostering deeper relationships with their partners.
Looking ahead, Azamara is set to leverage this momentum with the introduction of a new wave season offer. This promotion provides travellers with up to 20% off per stateroom on select sailings between 1 April and 31 December 2024, applicable for bookings made from 6 December 2023 to 21 March 2024. Managing Director UK David Duff noted the exceptional demand for their country-intensive itineraries, particularly those extending beyond seven nights and featuring destinations such as Japan and South Africa. Duff expressed optimism regarding the anticipated success in 2024, with European sailings across all four ships already exhibiting strong sales.
The encouraging trend observed this year, combined with strategic promotional offers, positions Azamara to potentially surpass these records in the coming year. The company’s focused approach to addressing market demands and enhancing their offerings illustrates a forward-thinking strategy that aligns with changing consumer preferences.
Azamara’s reinforced efforts and strategic manoeuvres have culminated in remarkable achievements and lay a robust foundation for continued success in the future.
