Oceania Cruises has taken a significant step in fortifying its UK sales operations by appointing Sam Richardson and Kim Gough. This move marks a continuation in the expansion of their sales team in the region, furthering their strategic goals as the company celebrates two decades in the industry.
Sam Richardson, with a background in Ambassador Cruise Line and World Travel Holdings, steps into the role of regional sales executive. His responsibility includes supporting travel partners across the northern parts of the UK. Reporting directly to director of sales, Louise Craddock, his road-based activities aim to enhance and solidify partnerships.
Kim Gough, previously contributing to Oceania’s central Europe sales division, now transitions to the position of inside sales executive. Operating from the Southampton head office, she reports to senior sales support executive Leah Williams. Gough’s appointment is expected to strengthen the internal processes within the sales team, thereby optimizing operational efficiency.
These strategic appointments align with expectations set by the recent introduction of the Allura class ship, Vista. The launch has significantly boosted bookings, which are on an upward trajectory and are anticipated to continue this trend with the impending 2025 launch of Allura. The integration of experienced professionals like Richardson and Gough aims to sustain this momentum.
Louise Craddock expressed her satisfaction with these new additions, emphasising the diverse experience and fresh perspectives they bring to the team. She highlighted how such strategic moves are crucial during this exciting phase for Oceania Cruises, projecting a forward-thinking vision for ongoing and future developments.
These appointments underscore the strategic foresight of Oceania Cruises in strengthening trade relations and expanding market influence.
