- Stuart Milan steps up as trading director, enhancing his leadership role.
- Tom Morgan transitions to head of international sales, focusing on global markets.
- Vicky Billing expands her role, leading trade and partnerships in the UK and Ireland.
- Riviera Travel’s trade activity sees a 110% increase, marking rapid growth.
Riviera Travel has embarked on a transformative journey by reshaping its trade sales team to strengthen its relationships with agent partners. This strategic overhaul positions Stuart Milan at the helm as the new trading director. In this capacity, he not only continues to oversee trade, international, and group functions, but also takes on the comprehensive management of revenue and agent activities across the business.
Tom Morgan, formerly the head of trade for the UK and Ireland river line, now assumes the position of head of international sales. Morgan’s new role broadens his responsibilities to include managing overseas sales operations in both Ireland and trade-exclusive markets such as Australia and the US, while also spearheading new business ventures in other global territories.
Vicky Billing, previously the head of commercial partnerships, has been elevated to head of trade and partnerships for the UK and Ireland. Retaining her existing partnership responsibilities, she now also drives trade business and has been instrumental in reopening Riviera’s European river cruise and touring options to the Irish market. Her focus includes reinforcing the trade team, with plans to recruit a key account manager and fortify the trade contact centre.
This comprehensive reorganisation comes in response to a notable 110% year-on-year surge in trade activity, the fastest-growing segment for Riviera Travel. The enhancements are expected to further solidify the company’s growth trajectory. CEO Phil Hullah remarked on the development, stating, “These are very exciting times for our trade team as we further enhance our strategy and activity across the UK, Ireland and overseas.” Hullah expressed confidence in the team, highlighting Milan’s leadership, Morgan’s international expertise, and Billing’s rapid, favourable impact.
Such expanded roles and organisational shifts are part of Riviera Travel’s broader ambition to consolidate its presence in the market and enhance agent-friendly growth plans. With a 15-strong trade team projected for 2024, the company is clearly gearing up for continued success and expansion.
Riviera Travel’s strategic team restructuring underscores their commitment to bolstering trade relationships and achieving sustained growth.
