The Advantage Travel Partnership has made significant strides in its technological expansion by entering into strategic alliances with three key technology partners: TripStax, HQ, and Agency Technology. This move is designed to streamline and enhance the operational capabilities of its members.
TripStax has been introduced to simplify and optimize technological interactions within the travel sector by offering a centralised data warehouse. This technology allows companies to consolidate and unify booking, profile, and financial data across diverse platforms and formats. Eoin Landers, the head of global sales at TripStax, highlighted its flexibility and scalability. He stated, ‘Our aim is to be the enabler for travel management companies (TMCs) to migrate towards using a centralised data warehouse.’
HQ, known for its extensive experience in corporate mobility, provides the HQ SummitGround platform. This system ensures that Advantage members have access to a wide range of vetted suppliers worldwide and offers functionalities such as omnichannel booking and invoice reconciliation. Charity Rumery, HQ’s chief revenue officer, emphasised their intention to enrich the ground transportation capabilities of Advantage members, thus ensuring seamless transitions for clients.
Agency Technology offers solutions that cover multiple facets of travel management, including quality control, PNR finishing, and automated ticketing. Lee Brubaker, the president of Agency Technology, expressed excitement about partnering with Advantage, aiming to empower TMCs to scale effectively and streamline their operations without sacrificing the quality of service offered to customers.
Stephen Baxendale, Advantage’s technology partnerships manager, articulated the broader vision behind these collaborations, stating that the partnerships are intended to furnish members with comprehensive tools to enhance every dimension of their operational processes. The announcement of these partnerships was made at the 2024 Advantage conference in Costa Mujeres, Mexico.
These technological partnerships mark a progressive step in Advantage Travel’s journey towards comprehensive service enhancement.
