Travelopia Tailormade, the parent company of brands such as Citalia, Sovereign Luxury Travel, and American Holidays, has appointed Luke Swarbrook as the new trade partnerships manager, a position he will assume from 15 July. Swarbrook’s appointment comes as a strategic development to strengthen the company’s trade relationships. Previously, he held the role of business development manager at Blue Diamond Resorts, showcasing a strong background in travel retail.
Swarbrook will report directly to Simon Garrido, the head of sales at Travelopia Tailormade. His predecessor, Kevin Gaddes, vacated the position, paving the way for Swarbrook’s expertise and enthusiasm to lead the trade partnerships and sales team. This team is integral in supporting agent partners who contribute significantly to the company’s success.
Simon Garrido remarked, “We had a huge amount of interest and some fantastic candidates to choose from so a big ‘well done’ to him. Luke joins with a huge amount of experience in trade facing roles and brings great contacts and enthusiasm.” Swarbrook’s role aims to encompass all facets of their engagement with trade partners—a critical element in Travelopia’s continued growth and development initiatives.
The company is committed to investing in trade partnerships through various programmes such as incentive schemes, regional events, and training webinars. These initiatives have already proven popular among their partners. By continuing to focus on these areas, Travelopia aims to fortify their relationships and further expand their presence in the market, particularly with Swarbrook’s involvement.
Travelopia’s Virtual Passport incentive programme, running until the end of August, offers agents a chance to earn rewards with each booking made. Agents receive a virtual stamp, which can eventually lead to prizes such as vouchers or gifts, thereby keeping the agents engaged and motivated.
Luke Swarbrook’s appointment is poised to drive Travelopia Tailormade’s trade partnerships to new heights.
