APT & Travelmarvel have strategically launched their 2025 Worldwide Touring brochure, marking a notable entry into the realm of small group journeys. The brochure introduces five new itineraries, allowing travellers to explore destinations like South Africa, Sri Lanka, Japan, and India in a more intimate setting with groups capped at 16 participants. This initiative signals a departure from traditional group tours, promoting a personalised and immersive travel experience.
In an innovative move, APT expanded its itineraries to include South Africa for the first time, while operations have been reinstated in Sri Lanka, Japan, and India after several years. Early testing of small group tours, particularly in India, garnered positive feedback from the trade, confirming the appeal of such experiential travel.
These journeys promise curated experiences that enhance understanding and appreciation of the local culture. For instance, travellers can partake in a Sri Lankan cooking demonstration or engage in sushi-making classes in Japan. These activities, along with visits to places like Buddhist monasteries and participation in traditional tea ceremonies, afford guests a unique insight into the cultural heritage of the destinations they visit.
To incentivise early bookings, APT is offering discounts of up to £500 per person for reservations made before October 31. The ‘Discover the Beauty of Sri Lanka’, a 13-day tour, and the ‘Reveal the Traditions of Japan’, starting from £2,595 and £5,995 respectively, are examples of these attractively priced packages. Both tours include accommodations and transfers, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.
Supporting this new initiative, APT has launched an agent incentive programme to encourage bookings, providing £50 of Love2Shop vouchers for any small group journey reservation made for 2024 or 2025 before early August. Laura Hughes, the touring product manager, highlighted the advantages of this new offering, stating, “Travelling in smaller numbers allows each group to get further off the trodden path, spending time in authentic places without the infrastructure to receive larger group tours.”
APT & Travelmarvel’s new 2025 small group journeys offer travellers curated and immersive experiences across extraordinary global destinations.
