This initiative, known as the St Kitts Yourway (Sky) Travel Agent Programme, is designed to run until 15 December, enabling agents to explore and promote the destination more effectively.
The participating properties include notable establishments such as the Park Hyatt St Kitts, which generously offers a discount of up to 70% off its rack rates. Similarly, the Sugar Bay Club presents a substantial 40% discount, coupled with the potential for free upgrades based on availability. Other prestigious participants encompass KOI Resort St Kitts, Belle Mont Sanctuary Resort, Timothy Beach Resort, Royal St Kitts Hotel, St Kitts Marriott Resort, and Ramada by Wyndham St. Kitts Resort.
Beyond mere accommodation discounts, the programme extends unique opportunities for site inspections and island tours. Travel agents are encouraged to submit a site inspection form available on the St Kitts Tourism Authority’s online platform to benefit from these additional offerings.
Marsha T. Henderson, the Tourism Minister, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative. She stated, “We are delighted to introduce the Sky Travel Agent Programme, which underscores our commitment to fostering strong relationships with travel agents. We aim to provide agents with the tools and experiences needed to effectively promote St. Kitts by offering these special rates and benefits.”
The programme’s intent is not simply promotional but also experiential, aiming to ensure that once agents have witnessed the allure and cultural richness of St Kitts first-hand, they will feel inspired to communicate these qualities to their clientele. The minister elaborated, “This programme is not just about providing discounts; it’s about creating memorable experiences that will resonate with travel agents and their clients for years to come.”
Logistically accessible, St Kitts can be conveniently reached from the United Kingdom via bi-weekly, year-round flights operated by British Airways directly from Gatwick. This connectivity is expected to facilitate ease of access for participating agents.
The St Kitts initiative enriches agents with unique experiences, enhancing their ability to promote the destination.
