In a strategic move coinciding with its 40th anniversary, Riviera Travel has announced the addition of two new ships to its fleet, set to debut in 2025. This expansion not only increases its river cruise offerings to seven ships but also introduces the first vessels to bear the company’s name: Riviera Radiance and Riviera Rose. This landmark development underscores the company’s commitment to growth and enhancement of guest experiences.
Riviera Radiance, designed to accommodate 178 passengers, will make its maiden voyage in March 2025. This ship is set to captivate guests with four decks, including a sun deck and three restaurants. Of particular note is Mosaic, a restaurant offering small plates inspired by the rivers of Europe. Another highlight of this vessel is the Grand Suites, which at 32 square metres, are the largest in Riviera’s repertoire, offering a separate lounge and a balcony with seating, promising luxurious comfort.
The smaller Riviera Rose will follow in April 2025, offering a more intimate experience with 114 passengers. This vessel will feature 57 cabins over three decks, with four Balcony Suites providing outside seating options. The ship will be equipped with standard cabins that include French balconies and sliding doors, enhancing the travellers’ connection with their scenic surroundings. The onboard amenities will include a restaurant, bar, lounge, fitness room, and a sun deck with a swimming pool.
These developments highlight a focus on enhancing the quality of the cruising experience by introducing new public spaces and sophisticated dining options. As Chief Executive Phil Hullah states, ‘The introduction of these beautiful ships marks a key chapter in the Riviera story as we proudly showcase our name on the bow of the vessels and accelerate our growth plans.’ The company is confident in delivering exceptional guest experiences and eagerly anticipates welcoming guests onboard.
The company has announced that further details regarding itineraries will be shared shortly, with bookings commencing from February 29. This initiative reflects Riviera Travel’s forward-thinking approach to maritime hospitality, setting a new standard in the industry for comfort and innovation.
Riviera Travel’s latest fleet expansion signifies a bold step forward in river cruising excellence.
