Yomi Tejumola, the London-based founder of Algomarketing, has been honoured as one of the United Kingdom’s most ambitious leaders according to LDC, a subsidiary of Lloyds Bank, in partnership with The Times. This accolade highlights leaders at the forefront of rapidly expanding companies that prioritise job creation, social equity, sustainability, and international expansion. Tejumola embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 2017 while still employed as a data scientist at Google. His vision was centred around alleviating ‘mundane’ tasks from the marketing sector through automation.
Over the years, Algomarketing has grown significantly, now boasting operations across 27 countries and establishing partnerships with tech giants such as Google, Cisco, and Zoom. The company’s innovative approach has been instrumental in transforming traditional marketing roles by integrating algorithmic solutions. This transformation aims to eradicate up to 80% of repetitive duties that marketers face, thus enhancing productivity while contributing to improved work-life balance and creativity.
Yomi Tejumola expressed his appreciation for the recognition, stating, “It’s an incredible honour to be recognised as an LDC Ambitious Business Leader this year.” He further elaborated on his mission to ‘restore joy to the world of work’ by developing a global network of 200 marketing professionals, referred to as ‘Algos’, who are deployed within major tech brand campaigns worldwide.
The company’s financial outlook is promising, with expectations to reach a turnover of £150 million by 2030. Notably, 65% of Algomarketing’s revenue is generated from markets outside the UK, underscoring its extensive international reach and appeal.
John Garner, the managing partner at LDC, commended the leaders included in the 2024 list, acknowledging their relentless ambition and growth determination. He said, ‘It’s been seven years since we launched The LDC Top 50 and in that time we’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable people.’
