In a strategic move, Indus Experiences has reaffirmed its dedication to the United Kingdom’s travel sector by rejoining the Association of Independent Tour Operators (Aito), coinciding with its 30th anniversary in the industry. The family-run business, renowned for its distinctive tours across regions like India, Nepal, and Bhutan, aims to forge stronger connections with specialist travel agents in the UK. This step reflects a deepening commitment to enhancing industry relationships since the operator’s departure from Aito in 2013.
Renowned for its bespoke tours across diverse destinations, including Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uzbekistan, Indus Experiences emphasises sustainable travel that gives back to local communities. Marketing Director Asiya Zargar highlighted their alignment with Aito’s high standards, asserting the company’s intent to leverage Aito events to promote their tailor-made Asian travel itineraries. This strategy reveals their commitment to fostering partnerships with Aito’s network of agents, alongside expanding their sustainable tourism initiatives.
As part of its comprehensive strategy, Indus Experiences is launching an extensive training programme through an online platform, which has already seen more than 130 course completions in recent months. This initiative is designed to enrich travel agents’ knowledge, equipping them to offer enriched travel experiences. The company believes that this focus on education will prepare agents to meet evolving customer needs, thus solidifying Indus’s position in the market.
Aito executive director Martyn Sumners commended Indus Experiences for their proactive approach and dedication to the core values of sustainability and quality. He emphasised that Indus’s return to Aito not only strengthens the collective but also augments the travel offerings for its associated agents. This collaboration is expected to enhance both agents’ expertise and the variety of travel experiences available to clients, underlining the mutual benefits of such partnerships.
The renewed partnership between Indus Experiences and Aito marks a significant commitment to enriching UK-Asian travel exchanges through sustainable and quality-focused initiatives.
