APT & Travelmarvel, in a bid to bolster its support for trade partners, has unveiled plans to expand its agency sales team. Recruitment is underway for a newly conceived national sales manager position, along with five additional phone-based customer service roles. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategic objective to enhance its collaborative efforts with trade partners, reinforcing its new retail and B2B strategy.
According to Brad Bennetts, Head of Sales and Business Development at APT & Travelmarvel, the company has been actively implementing an aggressive sales strategy since his appointment fourteen months ago. Bennetts states, “At the heart of this was the desire to work even more closely with our trade partners, so we set about assembling the industry’s best trade sales team to deliver our new retail and B2B strategy.” The results, he asserts, have been exceptional, highlighting the steadfast support from trade partners.
Bennetts further articulates the impetus behind this expansion, expressing, “It’s time to enter the next phase of our sales strategy, and I am pleased to announce that we will be making further expansions to our team.” The newly appointed national sales manager will report directly to Bennetts and will play a crucial role in managing key partners, identifying new sales avenues, and spearheading initiatives to elevate sales in 2024 and subsequent years.
Furthermore, the recruitment of five new customer service agents aims to ensure that trade partners continue to receive superior service, facilitating efficient handling of inquiries, bookings, documentation processing, and aftercare support. Bennetts stresses the vital importance of this development, noting, “We know that travel agents are extremely busy, so this will enable us to deal even more efficiently with the trade’s questions.”
Trade support remains a cornerstone of APT & Travelmarvel’s business model, accounting for over 75% of its sales. This expansion is a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to providing industry-leading service to its partners. Earlier in the year, Holly Piggott’s promotion to sales executive was seen as a move to bolster the operator’s expanded sales team and key partner support.
APT & Travelmarvel’s proactive expansion underscores their commitment to strengthening trade relations and optimising sales efforts for future growth.
