Carnival Cruise Line has introduced an innovative booking incentive aligned with CLIA Cruise Week, running from 16 to 22 September. Travel agents stand to gain an additional £30 for each booking on European sailings aboard Carnival Legend and Carnival Miracle departing in 2024 through 2026. This financial incentive underscores Carnival’s strategy to motivate travel agents and bolster its European itinerary sales.
In tandem with this incentive, Carnival has launched the ‘Key to Fun’ campaign. This initiative offers agents who book and register a Carnival journey featuring Celebration Key on its schedule a chance to secure one of 20 exclusive cruise slots to this new private locale. Located in Grand Bahama, Celebration Key is poised to open in July next year, adding a novel attraction to Carnival’s extensive portfolio.
As Celebration Key gears up for its debut, it promises to deliver a diverse array of experiences through its five distinct ‘portal’ areas. These include the adults-only Pearl Cove Beach Club, the welcoming Paradise Plaza, an adult-friendly retreat at Calypso Lagoon, a vibrant shopping experience at Lokono Cove, and the family-friendly Starfish Lagoon. Once operational, this destination will feature on over 500 itineraries across 18 Carnival ships departing from nine U.S. homeports.
Iain Baillie, the vice president of international sales at Carnival Cruise Line, expressed the company’s appreciation for the dedication shown by travel agents. Baillie stated, “Our September incentive is all about giving back to the trade and thanking them for their hard work and commitment to supporting Carnival.” This sentiment reflects Carnival’s broader intent to recognise and reward those facilitating its successes.
Carnival’s incentive scheme represents a strategic push to amplify engagement with travel agents while expanding its European cruise offerings.
