This new attraction will highlight a blend of classic and modern monster characters, aiming to captivate fans of the horror genre. Notable figures will include Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, and the Bride of Frankenstein, alongside new characters such as Dr Victoria Frankenstein, who is depicted as the great-great-granddaughter of the original Henry Frankenstein.
Visitors to Dark Universe will enter Darkmoor, a ravaged village setting, designed to enhance the atmosphere of thrill and suspense. Here, guests will have the opportunity to receive monstrous makeovers, complementing the unique thematic rides. One such ride is a family-friendly coaster that twists through the eerie woods, offering a mix of excitement and chills for adventurers of all ages.
A particularly intense attraction, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, is anticipated to be a major draw. Described as Universal Orlando’s most terrifying feat, this ride leads visitors into the catacombs of the iconic Frankenstein Manor. According to reports, this is where Dr Victoria Frankenstein is said to conduct her unsettling experiments, promising a hair-raising experience for those who dare to enter this part of the park.
The vividly themed world continues with The Guild of Mystics, where attendees will encounter Maleva, the all-knowing seer. Visitors are warned that they bear the mark of the werewolf, and a thrilling wagon ride ensues as they attempt to flee the approaching werewolves. This adds an extra layer of immersive storytelling, engaging visitors directly with the haunting narrative.
To complement the extraordinary experiences, dining options such as Das Stakehaus and The Burning Blade Tavern will be available, ensuring that the culinary aspects of the visit are equally thematic. In Das Stakehaus, patrons will be surrounded by vampire ‘familiars’, enhancing the sense of suspense and excitement, as they are subtly evaluated for participation in a vampiric feast.
Universal’s Dark Universe promises to be a thrilling addition, offering an innovative mix of storytelling and excitement.
