Silversea celebrated the official naming of Silver Ray, the latest ship in their acclaimed Nova Class, during a sophisticated ceremony in Lisbon. This event marks another milestone for the company, renowned for its commitment to luxury travel experiences. Dr Maria Josefina Olascoaga, an ocean science scholar from the University of Miami, served as the ship’s godmother, further strengthening the company’s association with scientific exploration and knowledge sharing.
In a statement, Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, highlighted the significance of the event aligning with the company’s 30-year celebration of providing high-end cruise experiences. Under the ownership of Royal Caribbean Group since 2018, Silversea has integrated six ships into its fleet, reinforcing its position as a leader in the luxury cruise market.
