Marella Cruises has officially launched its eagerly anticipated summer 2026 itineraries, featuring a diverse range of options that promise to provide unique travel experiences. Among the highlights is a rare opportunity for guests to witness a solar eclipse while sailing onboard the Marella Discovery 2. This exclusive event is set to occur on 12 August 2026, during the Cosmopolitans Charms itinerary — a round-trip departing from Palma, Majorca, on 11 August 2026. This journey includes stops at key Mediterranean ports such as Palamos in Spain, Propriano in France, and Civitavecchia, Salerno, and Palermo in Italy.
Furthermore, Marella Discovery 2 will embark on the ‘Jewels of the Mediterranean’ itinerary starting on 12 May 2026, also commencing from Palma, Majorca. This itinerary has been carefully crafted to offer magnificent views and cultural encounters across its destinations. All 2026 cruises are to be all-inclusive, with prices beginning at £1,533, ensuring guests receive a seamless and stress-free travel experience.
To celebrate its thirtieth anniversary, Marella Cruises will hold commemorative voyages, departing from notable locations including Corfu, Greece; Limassol, Cyprus; Palma, Majorca; and Dubrovnik, Croatia. This celebration highlights the cruise line’s substantial presence and influence in the Mediterranean region.
Additionally, Marella Cruises is augmenting its successful ‘cruise and stay’ offerings by incorporating 18 new hotels across Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, and Greece, bringing the total to 130 hotels, serviced from 20 UK airports. This strategic expansion not only diversifies travel options but also enhances the convenience and flexibility for travellers, allowing them to further explore these rich locales either before or after their cruise.
Chris Hackney, Managing Director of Marella Cruises, expressed enthusiasm about these new offerings, stating, “We’re excited to be announcing our thirtieth celebration birthday sailings from 2026 departing from Cyprus, Greece, Spain, and Croatia in addition to our unique solar eclipse sailing for our summer 2026 programme.” His remarks underscore the cruise line’s dedication to innovation and guest satisfaction.
Marella Cruises’ summer 2026 itineraries exemplify the brand’s commitment to dynamic and enriching travel experiences across the Mediterranean.
