In a strategic move to elevate its trade growth, Kuoni has announced the hiring of two seasoned travel consultants, Claire Williams and Rachel Stears. These professionals transition from Classic Collection, bringing with them a combined 55 years of experience in the premium European trips market. This initiative is a key element of Kuoni’s broader strategy to strengthen its advisory services to travel agents.
Williams and Stears are integral additions to Kuoni’s expert hub call centre. The call centre is designed to direct agents’ calls to the most knowledgeable advisors, ensuring swift and informed responses, consistently keeping call wait times under two minutes, according to a company spokesperson. The expertise of the newly appointed consultants is expected to enhance service quality and client satisfaction.
Sarah Weetman, Kuoni’s head of trade partnerships, highlighted the value these appointments bring, noting that they introduce an ‘extra layer of expertise’ within the call centre. This move aligns with Kuoni’s objective of maintaining robust support for travel agents through dedicated advisory roles, especially in crafting complex, multi-centre European itineraries.
Rachel Stears emphasised the depth of her expertise gained at Classic Collection, expressing eagerness to apply her understanding of premium European holidays in her new role at Kuoni. With over 25 years of experience, and having lived in Portugal, she brings an intimate knowledge of various European destinations to the table.
Complementing this, Claire Williams, with a 30-year tenure in the travel industry, also underscored her enthusiasm for joining Kuoni as a Europe expert. She voiced her admiration for European landscapes, particularly the Greek islands, which she considers her personal favourites such as Corfu, Rhodes, and Santorini.
Kuoni’s strategic hires are poised to significantly enhance the company’s expertise and operational efficiency in European travel.
