Sail Croatia is set to elevate its ‘Elegance’ fleet for the summer of 2025 by introducing two new small ships, which will add depth and choice to its premium offerings. The new entrants, MS Romatic Star and MS Katerina, each have the capacity to carry 36 passengers, thus enhancing the travel experience with exclusive and intimate voyages.
The fleet’s expansion is expected to result in a substantial 60% increase in the number of departures, soaring from previous figures to reach a total of 119 scheduled sailings for the forthcoming summer season. This move is indicative of a strategic enhancement aimed at meeting heightened demand for premium cruising experiences in the region.
Currently part of the Explorer brand, the MS Katerina will transition to the Elegance lineup, underscoring its celebrated status within the fleet. Meanwhile, the MS Romatic Star, constructed in 2016, boasts 18 ensuite cabins and promises a variety of itineraries between Split and Dubrovnik, further diversifying the available routes.
Highlighting the luxurious nature of these cruises, the price for a seven-night round-trip journey from Split begins at £1,659 per person for a lower deck cabin, excluding flights. This price point reflects the high level of service and exclusive experience afforded to passengers.
Helle Seuren, co-founder and director of Sail Croatia, remarked on the venture’s ambitious growth, emphasising the attraction for couples and mature travellers keen on exploring Croatia’s authentic character through luxurious means. Seuren noted the positive reception of the MS Katerina on its debut Explorer cruise, lauding its opulent furnishings and adherence to superior service standards.
