Royal Caribbean has introduced a forward-thinking initiative aimed at enhancing the earning potential of travel agents through a groundbreaking cash-based loyalty programme. This programme, launching on the 3rd of September, is set to redefine how booking incentives are structured, leveraging the esteemed Upper Deck on the Club Royal platform to administer these rewards.
The incentivisation scheme is tiered to reflect the value of bookings made by agents. Starting with a £15 reward for bookings worth £2,000 or more, the benefits significantly increase as the booking value rises, with a top reward of £500 for bookings reaching or exceeding £50,000. These rewards are conveniently made available on a prepaid digital Mastercard, provided post-confirmation of the booking.
Additional perks are also built into the programme to further motivate agents. Group bookings are particularly encouraged with an extra £10 reward per reservation, while those agents who opt to book their own Royal Caribbean holiday will receive an additional £100. Such measures clearly aim to bolster agent engagement and satisfaction, acknowledging their pivotal role within the Royal Caribbean business strategy.
Moreover, agents who are able to record Royal Caribbean bookings in excess of £100,000 will find themselves part of the exclusive Upper Deck 100 club. Within this prestigious circle, agents gain access to unique experiences, such as previews of new ships and annual ship visits, presenting them and their families with unparalleled opportunities.
To celebrate the inauguration of this innovative trade initiative, the top 12 agents, recognised for achieving the highest value bookings from the 3rd of September to the 1st of October, will be awarded a five-night sailing. This exclusive event will take place on the Independence of the Seas, setting sail from Miami on the 11th of November, and includes visits to both The Bahamas and the renowned Perfect Day at CocoCay.
This initiative by Royal Caribbean demonstrates a strategic move to enhance the value proposition for travel agents, reinforcing their role in the company’s future growth.
