Digicel commences tender offer

Digicel Limited has commenced a cash tender offer for any and all of its outstanding 7.000% senior notes due 2020, the company said.

The company is also soliciting consents to certain proposed amendments to the indenture governing the notes to, among other things, eliminate substantially all of the restrictive covenants and certain events of default and reduce the minimum notice period required for optional redemptions of the notes to two business days on the terms and subject to the conditions set forth in the Statement.

The tender offer documents more fully set forth the terms of the tender offer and consent solicitation.

The tender offer is scheduled to expire at 11: 59 p.m., New York City time, on June 5, 2017, unless extended or earlier terminated by the company.

The company has retained Citigroup Global Markets Inc. to serve as the dealer manager and solicitation agent for the tender offer and consent solicitation.

Lumos Networks total revenue up over 8% YoY

Lumos Networks Corp. (Nasdaq: LMOS), a fiber-based service provider in the Mid-Atlantic region, has announced its results for the first quarter of 2017, the company said.

Total revenue for the first quarter of 2017 was USD 54.9m, up 8% from the prior year period.

The company generated an operating loss of USD 1.6m for the three months ended March 31, 2017, down from operating income of USD 3.1m in the prior year period.

Net loss attributable to Lumos Networks Corp. was USD 5.3m, or USD 0.24 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2017, compared to a net loss of approximately USD 2.9m in the prior year period. Total Adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter was USD 23.9m, up over 3% from the prior year period.

AkzoNobel selects Jean Boulle Luxury to produce aviation grade coating

Jean Boulle Luxury has signed an agreement with AkzoNobel for the production of its aviation grade Sun King Diamond Coating for the private and commercial jet markets, the company said.

Under the agreement AkzoNobel will be the exclusive supplier of the aviation grade Sun King Diamond Coating.

A new collaboration between the Cuban-American National Council (CNC) and Pan Am International Flight Academy in Miami is exposing at-risk youth to a unique opportunity to learn about airline training and the aviation industry, the Academy said.

Students enrolled in the CNC Youth Program are getting the opportunity through job shadowing and mentoring with designated staff at the aviation training academy to learn all about careers in aviation.

Southwest completes transition to Amadeus Altéa IT platform

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) and Amadeus IT Group have jointly announced the carrier´s transition to the Amadeus Altéa Passenger Service System (PSS), the airline said.

At 101 airports across nine countries, all Southwest domestic and international flights will be managed through Altéa functionality, giving the carrier more flexibility to improve the customer experience and enhance revenue performance.

The new reservation system brings an array of features designed to allow Southwest to optimize its flight schedule, more easily manage inventory and automate rebookings during flight disruptions, among others.

The company expects the new reservation system to generate approximately USD 500m in incremental annual earnings before interest and taxes by 2020 through added functionality and operational capabilities.
