Logos Technologies has successfully conducted advanced flight testing of the company´s Redkite wide-area sensor aboard the Insitu Integrator unmanned aircraft system (UAS), the company said.
The demonstration, which took place in Boardman, Oregon, confirmed that Redkite could capture stabilized, wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) and successfully stream it to multiple handheld devices on the ground from the payload bay of the tactical Group 3 UAS.
This is the second successful airborne test with the Integrator.
Redkite is compact, lightweight and is available as a platform-agnostic pod for manned and unmanned aircraft, and as an integrated payload module.
Both versions image over 12 square kilometers at once, and store up to eight hours of geo-tagged mission data for analysis.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Delta and Aeromexico have confirmed with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and Mexico´s Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) that they have completed the steps required to launch the JCA.
Additional service and more convenient schedules will benefit customers of both companies.
Delta will provide service in the United States through its connecting hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York, Salt Lake City and Seattle; Aeromexico will offer greater access to Mexico through its hubs in Mexico City, Monterrey and Guadalajara.

United Airlines (UAL) has reported April 2017 consolidated traffic (revenue passenger miles) increased 7.4% and consolidated capacity (available seat miles) increased 4.0% versus April 2016, the company said.
UAL´s April 2017 consolidated load factor increased 2.6 points compared to April 2016.
The airline finished April ahead of all primary competitors in on-time departures and arrivals, as well as the fewest flight cancellations for the month.
UAL also had another record-setting month with fewer flight cancellations than any other month in the company´s history, and set a no-cancel streak record, going 145 hours without a flight cancellation.
