Silver Airways adds non-stop service from West Palm Beach to Bimini

Silver Airways is starting new non-stop service between West Palm Beach and Bimini and one-stop service between Tampa and Bimini on April 20, 2017, the company said.

This marks the first time Palm Beach residents can travel directly to Bimini island without having to drive to Fort Lauderdale or Miami. In addition, Tampa area travelers will also benefit from the quick, one-stop connecting service to Bimini that this new route provides.

Bimini is located just 50 miles off Florida´s coast and for a limited time, travelers can fly there for less than USD 50. Bimini is the closest Bahamian island to the United States, boasting miles of pristine beaches.

Fort Lauderdale-based Silver Airways operates more routes within Florida, and between Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline. The airline averages 125 daily flights to 27 destinations in Florida (including hubs in Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa) and the Bahamas.

CareView Communications signs large hospital division under group purchasing agreement

Alaska Airlines launches 3 new nonstop services

Alaska Airlines inaugurates non-stop service in three new markets this week: San Jose, California to Newark, New Jersey, which began on March 12; San Jose, California to Burbank, California beginning on March 16; and Portland, Oregon to Orlando, Florida also beginning on March 16, the company said.

Flights between San Jose and Newark and Portland and Orlando operate once a day. Flights between San Jose and Burbank are three-times daily.

Alaska Airlines and Virgin America along with their regional partners, fly 40 million customers a year to 118 destinations with an average of 1,200 daily flights across the United States and to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba.

With Alaska and Alaska Global Partners, customers can earn and redeem miles on flights to nearly 1,000 destinations worldwide. Alaska Airlines, Virgin America and Horizon Air are subsidiaries of Alaska Air Group (NYSE: ALK).
