Finalists picked for 2017 Best of Enterprise Connect Award

Enterprise Connect has announced six finalists for its 2017 Best of Enterprise Connect Award, the company said.

The award recognizes exhibitors that have made significant technological advancements within the enterprise communications and collaboration industry.

The winner will be announced onsite at Enterprise Connect 2017 during an awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 29 at 9:00 a.m.

Enterprise Connect 2017 will take place March 27-30 in Orlando, FL.

A judging panel of industry experts carefully reviewed more than 50 entries and selected the six most innovative products. The 2017 Best of Enterprise Connect finalists are:

Intrepid delivers A330-300 to Turkish Airlines

Intrepid Aviation has delivered a Rolls-Royce powered A330-300 for long-term lease to Turkish Airlines,.

This is the second of seven A330 aircraft due to be delivered to the Istanbul based flag carrier.

Turkish Airlines has won the “Best Airline in Europe” award for the last six years by Skytrax, a global airline passenger survey organization.

Tower One forms subsidiary in Argentina

Tower One Wireless Corp (CSE:TO)(OTCBB:TOWTF)(FRANKFURT:A2AFT9) has formed a 100% owned subsidiary in Argentina, the company said.

The company also has taken assignment of all the assets, trade secrets and receivables of Rojo Resources, which had previously contemplated a change of business to focus on Argentina´s burgeoning telecom sector.

Argentina´s government has embarked on a progressive, large-scale National Broadband Plan, which contemplates over 10,000 new cell sites over the next three years.

WestJet flies record 1.9 million guests in January 2017

WestJet reported January 2017 traffic results with a load factor of 80%, a 6.2% increase year over year in revenue passenger miles (RPMs), or traffic, and a 6.3% increase in capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), over the same period, the airline said.

The airline flew a record 1.9 million guests in January, a year-over-year increase of 7.1%, or approximately 123,000 additional guests.

In January, WestJet began non-stop service to Winnipeg from Hamilton International Airport as well as relaunching non-stop service to Edmonton and Halifax from Hamilton. It also officially inaugurated service to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport from Calgary and Edmonton.

WestJet offers scheduled service to more than 100 destinations in North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and Europe. Through its regional airline, WestJet Encore, and with partnerships with airlines representing every major region of the world, the airline offers more than 150 destinations in over 20 countries.

DragonWave updates number outstanding shares

Delta, Coca-Cola transform aircraft tray tables into art

Together with 12 artists from around the world, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) have created an art gallery in the sky by transforming the tray tables on one of the airline´s 767 aircraft into works of art, the airline said.

Delta and coca Cola, along with creative agency Wieden+Kennedy New York, developed and implemented the art gallery. The artists brought their own personal style and taste to their trays and drew inspiration from some of the airline´s most popular destinations. Each piece of art celebrates themes of optimism, travel, refreshment, and happiness.

In addition to the tray tables on the aircraft, Delta will be displaying the original trays in Concourse A, between gates A15 and A11 at Atlanta´s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Sabre to expand portfolio of passenger services to Gulf Air

Southlake, Texas-based Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR) has signed a new agreement with the Kingdom of Bahrain´s national carrier, Gulf Air, to provide an expanded portfolio of core passenger services technology covering reservations, departure controls, and all other aspects that touch passengers directly.
