Cradlepoint adds LTE Advanced office routing platforms

Cradlepoint has announced the addition of LTE Advanced routing platforms for branch offices, pop-up stores, construction sites and more, the company said.

Cradlepoint is the first to empower businesses to leverage LTE Advanced technology to increase bandwidth, speed and coverage with enterprise-grade Category 6 wireless WAN solutions.

Cradlepoint´s LTE-A modems will be integrated in Cradlepoint´s AER series of edge routing platforms and ARC series of failover and Out-of-Band Management solutions. These advanced routing platforms, in concert with new firmware and Cradlepoint NetCloud capabilities, enhance Cradlepoint´s solutions for enterprise edge networks like retail, food and beverage, and branch office verticals — as well as specialty networks such as store-within-a-store, Parallel Networks, and transportation.

Cradlepoint is in cloud-based network solutions for connecting people, places and things over wired and wireless broadband. Cradlepoint NetCloud is a software and services platform that extends the company´s 4G LTE-enabled multi-function routers and ruggedized M2M/IoT gateways with cloud-based management and software-defined network services. Cradlepoint is a privately held company headquartered in Boise, Idaho, with development centers in Silicon Valley and Kelowna, Canada, and offices in the UK, Australia and Japan.

Indian gives IOC to ugraded Jaguar

The Indian air force has declared initial operation clearance (IOC) for the latest avionics upgrade to its Sepecat Jaguar attack aircraft, the air force said.

Under the Darin (display, attack, range and inertial navigation) III program, three Jaguars have received upgraded avionics packages installed by Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL).

HAL says the core of the upgrade is a new open architecture mission computer, as well as an engine and flight instrument system, smart multifunction display, fire control radar and a new inertial navigation system with GPS and geodetic height correction.

India is the sole remaining operator of the Jaguar, with 160 in service. Approximately 120 of the aircraft are expected to receive the Darin-III upgrade. Jaguars are used in ground and maritime attack roles, and the upgraded types are set to receive MBDA´s ASRAAM short-range air-to-air missile and Textron Defence Systems´ CBU-105 sensor fused weapon.

The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its primary responsibility is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during a conflict.

Gesundheit Nordhessen hospital group invests in Sectra imaging solution

The German hospital group Gesundheit Nordhessen is investing in a medical IT solution from Sectra (STO: SECT B) for handling radiology images as well as non-radiology images across the group´s four hospitals, the company said.

Sectra´s enterprise imaging solution (PACS and VNA) will improve the availability and simplify the communication of patient images making it easier for radiologists and other physicians to carry out their daily work, and contributing to more efficient care. In addition, using one single system for image handling across several hospitals and multiple departments enhances efficiency for the IT department.

Gesundheit Nordhessen Holding AG is a regional healthcare group and includes four hospitals as well as rehabilitation centers and senior residences. Viptela extends Enterprise WANs to cloud

Viptela, Inc. has released a solution on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that allows enterprises to add AWS resources to their Wide Area Network (WAN), the company said.

This relationship extends all the SD-WAN capabilities offered by the Viptela platform to AWS so resources can be managed and provide the same user experience as if they were hosted in a company´s own data centers.

Viptela will demonstrate its SD-WAN platform integration with Amazon Virtual Private Clouds (Amazon VPCs) at the AWS re:Invent 2016 Booth 131 from November 28 to December 2. Royal Jordanian marks official sponsorship of CD Leganés

Royal Jordanian airline (RJ) has sponsored the Spanish football club CD Leganés, a member of the La Liga club, the company said.

To mark the sponsorship, the company held a reception where RJ signed an agreement with MBUZZSPORT making RJ the official sponsor and airline partner of the club for the remainder of the 2016/2017 La Liga football season scheduled to end on May 21, 2017.

Royal Jordanian is the third Middle Eastern airline to sponsor a La Liga club. Royal Jordanian Airlines is the flag carrier airline of Jordan with its head office in Amman, Jordan, operating scheduled international services over four continents from its main base at Queen Alia International Airport at Amman Jordan.

El Al pilots, airline reach agreement

El Al Airlines Ltd. (TASE:ELAL) pilots have agreed to end their job action and arrive for work on time from now on, the company said.

The company said negotiations between the management of the airlines and its pilots concluded with a series of agreements reached between the two sides. The pilots´ union said the resolution would ensure that crews´ attention to punctuality to resume.

El Al Airlines is the flag carrier of Israel.Since its inaugural flight from Geneva to Tel Aviv in September 1948, the airline has grown to serve more than 50 destinations, operating scheduled domestic and international services and cargo flights within Israel and to Europe, Middle East, Americas, Africa and the Far East from its main base in Ben Gurion Airport.

Fintech Telecom accepts shares for purchase

Fintech Telecom, LLC´s all-cash tender offer for all outstanding Class B Shares held by US holders and all outstanding American depositary shares (“ADSs”) of Telecom Argentina SA (“Telecom Argentina”) brought in a total 5,549,219 ADSs and 3,695 Class B Shares validly tendered and not withdrawn, the company said.

All ADSs and Class B Shares have been accepted for purchase for approximately USD105 million, net of paid distributions but excluding applicable withholding taxes. Settlement of the offer is expected to occur on 1 December 2016.

A simultaneous offer by Fintech Telecom in Argentina brought in 12,337,723 Class B Shares, all of which Fintech Telecom accepted for purchase.

Fintech Telecom, LLC was incorporated in 2013 and is based in New York, New York.

Hong Kong Airlines begins inaugural service to Auckland

Hong Kong Airlines has begun daily direct service to Auckland with an inaugural flight on November 11, the company said.

The company said to commemorate the launch, celebrations were held both at Hong Kong International Airport and Auckland Airport.

Hong Kong Airlines´ chief commercial officer Li Dianchun said the company has increased service to 10 times weekly beginning December 11 through February 13, 2017. The company expects strong demand out of the New Zealand market to Hong Kong and service to Asia.

Hong Kong Airlines is a full-service airline based in Hong Kong, with an operating fleet of 34 aircraft, (nine Airbus A330-300s, nine Airbus A330-200s and 11 Airbus A320s) and five freighters (Airbus A330-200Fs).
