Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN) Nuance Mix NLU development platform will be leveraged by ROOBO, the company said.

Mix NLU provides voice and natural language (NLU) capabilities, to create conversational and cognitive interfaces for ROOBO robots and devices.

Additionally, Nuance and ROOBO will be collaborating on future integrations of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) to advance conversational interfaces for intelligent IoT devices. ROOBO´s current integration of Nuance´s voice capabilities will be showcased at the China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen.

A Wireless names new chief customer officer

Verizon Wireless retailer A Wireless has appointed Michael Moore its new chief customer officer (CCO).

Prior to joining the A Wireless team, Moore served as Chief Marketing Officer for Lowes Foods, and prior to that he served as Chief Marketing Officer at SUPERVALU and in various executive roles at Procter and Gamble.

Hyundai chooses Spirent Solutions for Ethernet-in-the-Car conformance testing

Spirent Communications´ C50+TTworkbench solution has been selected by Hyundai Motor Group in South Korea to verify in-car networking, the company said.

Modern cars have up to 100 engine control units (ECUs), and as more vehicles support advanced features such as multiple cameras and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), automotive designers must adopt higher capacity in-car networks. Automotive Ethernet networking is derived from the eponymous computer networking technology, and is being adopted by Automotive OEMs around the world.

Black Box declares USD0.12 dividend

Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of USD0.12 per share of its Common Stock.

The USD0.12 per share dividend was declared on all outstanding shares of Black Box´s Common Stock and will be payable on January 13, 2017 to stockholders of record at the close of business on December 30, 2016.

Black Box will pay the dividend through its transfer agent, American Stock Transfer & Trust Company, LLC.

Healthcare provider chooses Zayo for connectivity solution

Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) was selected by an integrated healthcare provider in the southeast for a high-bandwidth connectivity solution, the company said.

The multi-product solution, which includes Ethernet, wavelengths and Connect to Cloud, will connect more than 60 locations and two data centers to facilitate transport of high-resolution digital imaging among the customer´s hospitals and medical facilities.
